Eposde 2: Death Cloud
James Starblazer, human Psionic Warrior Rysrax the Hosbecite ambassador Alexander Fane The Lion Man Hunter David Crizal, human pilot Dr. Vahlen, human engineer Hauk Birdman Scout (intro) Upon reaching Simba the heroes were greeted by Lord Raoor and his honor guard. After being welcomed into his house as honored guests, Rysrax recited the tale of the rescue of Lady Roaora. In appreciation Lord Raoor granted each of them (except Alex) a signet ring as a show of friendship. Alex was adopted into his family. The heroes were then asked to attend as guests of honor a celebration for the return of the Lady Roaora the next day at midday. Till then the heroes spread out and attended to their own interests. Lord Raoor also assigned a servant to each. Dr. Vahlen Worked with Lion Men to fix their ship. David Crizal went and found games of chance (He broke even) Alexander (Who the Lady Roaora escorted) stayed at the Lord's house. He and the Lady Roaora shared a drink (Of Brain Rot). Such powerful drink left Alex slumbering till the next day. Rysrax looked to purchase a cargo, he found an amazing deal on foodstuffs. John Starblazer went hunting. On the hunt they found and slayed an Orangataur. More importantly they found a birdman named Hauk who agreed to join them. The next day the ceremonies were in full swing when all of a sudden the sound of rocketships could be heard. In was the Queen's forces spraying Death Dust. Only a couple of minutes later three shuttles landed releasing a large force of Primals and human minions. The battle was fierce. John was overwhelmed by Primals while Dave was able to steal one of the shuttles. When the battle was no longer winnable the few remaining humans went to escape but as their shuttles took off Dave was able to shoot them out of the sky. Unfortunately many of the lion men died, including Lord Raoor who on his deathbed asked the heroes (Dr. Vahlen to be specific) to find a cure, perhaps Sandpit would hold the answer To escape the blockade the party sent Hauk up in their old shuttle while the rest followed in the recently acquired. When the War Rockets approached, the heroes told them that they would handle it. Waiting for Hauk to evacuate they started shooting at their own shuttle destroying it and flying off. They then took to the slipstream to travel to Sandpit at best speed, a few minor astronomical difficulties were easily avoided (A meteor shower and a rouge asteroid). Finally the heroes put down on Mechanos for the night. The Party was able to sell the gear of the fallen for 350 slips each. They also each took a rocket belt, Hauk took a sword, John grabbed a vibrosword, and Dr Vahlen took a Spacesuit, Rysrax took a knife.
