After landing on the fragment of Nivek our heroes were greeted by a gathering of the Nivekiens. The high priest Brrip-K’Chok announces to the crowds that he has seen a vision, that the Sky Devil has sent her imps to destroy Panakachewee, the All Knowing Oracle. He tells his people to not fear, for even though all of the guards are dead the Oracle has brought heroes from the stars to save him and his people...
Brrip’-K’Chok pulls the heroes aside and lets them know that he was lying to the crowds, for the vision is true, the Oracle has not sent him an image of champions. However he needed to calm the masses to prevent a riot. He asks the heroes to save the Oracle, and in exchange gives them a laser sword he found at the feet of the Oracle last year.
The heroes are given a guide, Kkk-Kree-Chak, and depart for the Oracle. The fragment is a tropical jungle, and the journey is hard due to constant stings from zap-flies and the heat and humidity. On the fourth day the heroes are attacked by a nest of Krell Wasps.
Finally the heroes reach the Oracle, a large sandstone statue of a woman with a lion’s body & wings (sphinx). However two squads of the Queens henchmen are already there. While Dr. Vahlen climbed into the trees to drop a bomb on a group of Primals Dave was overcome by a compulsion to run in front of the Oracle, announcing their presence. The fight was fierce.
Dave was entranced but saw the following:
Before you float three feathers: one grey, one white and one black. A slim, gloved hand reaches out and snatches the white feather. The black one grows bigger. A single tear falls from the grey.
In the end the forces of Darkness were quelled. Returning to the ship the heroes encountered a group of Nivekiens who helped them find their way.
